On a 1-1 leathercraft workshop day we can cover whatever you would like! Whether you be completely new to leathercraft or would like to polish up your skills we can cover a variety of areas on this 2 day workshop.
For complete beginners the day will spend one day learning the basics of leather craft and complete a small project like a notebook cover, simple card holder or a passport cover. On day 2 we can then cover more advanced techniques and complete a dog collar, belt or similar item.
For students who have had some previous experience in leathercraft we can cover a range of projects or complete one larger project like a shoulder bag.
Each workshop is 100% tailored to you and what you would like to learn, above are just some examples of what we can cover on your workshop experience. Once you have brought your day we will arrange your workshop date on a day to suit you. We will also chat about what you would like to take away from your workshop experience.
Course materials are included in the price, if you would like to purchase some more leather at the end course this can be arranged.
Ordering a bespoke dog collar or belt? Please read the measuring guide to ensure you order the correct size.
When measuring for your new dog collar, the best option is to measure the internal length of a current collar adjusted to how you like it fitted. To do this, remove the collar from your dog and do it up at the desired fitting, then with a flexible tape measure measure around the inside of the collar. This length will be where the middle hole will fit on your new collar. You can also measure around your dogs neck. Place the tape measure around your dogs neck where the collar will sit and to a tightness that you like.
We will use the measurements provided as the internal measurement and add 2 larger and 2 smaller holes for adjustment.
The best way is to measure your current belt from the inside of the buckle to the hole that is used most. You can also use a tape measure and measure around your waist where your belt will sit.
We will add 3 larger and 3 smaller holes for adjustment.
