Our Leather

At J.H. Leather we carefully choose what leather we stock, ensuring that only the best gets used in all of our handmade products.

As with many materials, leather has different grades. What you many not be aware of, is that one leather hide can be split into many with each split becoming weaker and of less quality. We choose to use only the best full grain and top grain leathers as our hide of choice as this is the very top split of hide and thus the strongest.

Remember that 'genuine leather' belt you brought with its 'genuine leather' label? Well genuine leather isn't the best by any means, its more a statement that the product is made using leather which is why that belt didn't last that long.
